2. What Delivery Owls does

Delivery Owls connects customers with trusted independent Local Partners who can provide practical assistance where the customer cannot be present.

Customers may use our marketplace to post tasks such as:

  • Collecting and returning lost property
  • Collecting purchases from shops or other locations
  • Printing and delivering documents
  • Packaging and arranging the delivery of items
  • Completing local errands
  • Providing other agreed practical assistance

Local Partners can review suitable task listings, submit offers and communicate with customers through the marketplace.

Depending on how you use Delivery Owls, we may collect the following information.

Account and contact information

This may include your:

  • Telephone number
  • Password and account credentials
  • Profile photograph

  • Account type, such as Customer or Local Partner

Local Partner information

If you apply to become a Local Partner, we may collect information reasonably necessary to assess, verify and administer your account. This may include:

  • Professional experience and biography
  • Availability and services offered
  • Payout information
  • Supporting documents
  • Information relevant to safety, trust and marketplace eligibility

Where identity or payment verification is performed by a third-party provider, that provider may collect information directly from you.

Task and transaction information

When you post, respond to or complete a task, we may collect:

  • Collection and delivery locations
  • Requested completion date or timeframe
  • Photographs and supporting files
  • Details of the item or service involved

Payment and payout information

Payments and payouts may be processed through Stripe or another authorised payment provider.

Delivery Owls does not normally receive or store your complete payment-card details. Payment providers may collect your card, bank-account, identity, tax and transaction information directly.

Task listings and certain profile information may be visible to other marketplace users or, in some cases, publicly accessible.

Please do not publish passport numbers, identity documents, payment information, medical information, confidential documents, access codes or other sensitive personal information in a public listing, profile, review or photograph.

Only provide sensitive information when it is genuinely necessary, through an appropriate secure method and after confirming who will receive it.

5. How we use your information

Local Partners may act as independent controllers when they process information for their own legal obligations or business administration.

Marketplace users

Information may be shared between customers and Local Partners to arrange, perform and document a task.

Sharetribe

Our marketplace is built using Sharetribe. Sharetribe provides hosting, account, messaging, listing and marketplace infrastructure services on our behalf.

Stripe and payment providers

Stripe and other payment providers may process payments, payouts, refunds, identity checks, fraud-prevention information and financial compliance requirements.

Delivery and service providers

Where relevant to a task, information may be shared with:

  • Courier and postal companies
  • Packaging and logistics providers
  • Hotels, airports, restaurants, shops and venues
  • Collection or storage locations
  • Printing and document-delivery providers

Technology and professional service providers

We may use trusted providers for:

  • Website and cloud hosting
  • Email and customer communications

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Our marketplace may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own privacy policies, and Delivery Owls is not responsible for their independent practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change.

The revised policy will be published with a new “Last updated” date. Where a change is significant, we may also notify registered users by email or through the marketplace.
